GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Microwave Oven (JVM3160DFWW) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6193.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features and easy installation Good so far. Door a little hard to open, I guess it will loosen up as it gets worked in. Hopefully the plastic latches will last. Look a little flimsy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drop-In Replacement Original GE Spacemaker (Mfg 6/2001) installed during Condo construction failed after 16 yrs of faithful service. This unit was a smooth drop-in replacement and works fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice unit! Just installed a few days ago, but so far am very pleased with the unit. Installation was fast, although delivery of the oven took over almost three weeks because I chose the black finish. A softer (less noise) door opening and closing would be nice, but when in operation, the unit is quieter than the one we were replacing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible installation Just bought this 2 days ago - as far a performance - so far so good. My complaint is with the install. It took nearly 5 hours. Directions and pictures did not always match up - directions would say one thing - pictures would indicate another. I've installed 3 other microwaves and have never had this much difficulty. It says to replace charcoal filter every 6-12 months - however replacing the plastic cover is easier said than done - was sure it would break the very first time I tried to replace it per directions. I purchased this because of Consumer Reports on performance and safety - do not believe I would purchase again because of how un- user friendly basic maintenance seems to be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Microwave Review I purchased my GE Microwave in January 2017. I had to purchase this particular one because my previous Microwave was a GE and this was the one that will fit in between the cabinets. After about 2 months I noticed in the window what looked like a separation about the size of a dime. Apparently, if it doesn't affect the performance there is nothing that can be done to find out what this is. Now it's June and this plastic separation has grown to the size of a quarter. I'm concerned that this could be some kind of protective film or something is slipping in between the glasses. I would have taken this thing down myself and returned it to the place of purchase months ago but I had to pay quite a bit to have it installed by my contractor. Now I'm stuck with this ugly thing that anyone who comes over asks me what on earth is that? I tell them that it's the mark of shoddy workmanship of the product. Very very disappointed!
