Best recliner I've ever had. I've had this recliner for a year now and it sits great. I would recommend it to anyone. It looks the same as the day I bought it.

I have the same problem with the same chair from [Local Competitor]

  3. poor design or bad excecution?

I have had my recliner since June 2010. At first it was the most comfortable chair I had ever owned-my first new furniture ever, I'm 52-but after just a few short months I have been having problems. First the recline only holds in the first position, it can be pushed farther back (like to take a nap) but it does not hold this position. It just drops back to the first position. Next the padding in the seat has lost it's fluff substantally. You know how a pillow becomes flat after a while that's what the seat paddiing has done. I expected at least 5 years or even 6 months before that would happen. Also the padding on both arms has slipped off their foundation. The padding is not glued or nailed or fastened in any way to the wood foundation on the arms so it slips outward when I rest my arms on them. Also the leg lift padding slips from it's foundation wood which causes the plank of wood to dig into my calves. This chair is an okay design but there are so many flaws in the manufacture that I would not recommend purchasing one. I do like the fabric.
Good thing it has a lifetime warranty. Though replacing a poorly excecuted design with the same poorly excecuted design seems silly.
